The CLJ-A18M-5APA operates on the inductive sensing principle, generating an electromagnetic field from its face. When a conductive metal object enters this field, it induces eddy currents, causing a change in the sensor’s internal oscillation circuit. This change is processed to switch the PNP output, providing a clean, digital signal for detection and control logic.
Constructed with a nickel-plated brass or stainless steel housing and sealed to IP67 standards, this sensor is built for harsh industrial environments involving dust, oil, and coolants.
