DFRobot Gravity Capacitive Non-contact Liquid Level Sensor (3mm TR, IP67)
The DFRobot Gravity Capacitive Non-contact Liquid Level Sensor is a compact 5V module designed for detecting conductive liquids (0-100°C) through non-metallic containers up to a 3mm sensing range. Featuring a digital output and Gravity interface, it is plug-and-play compatible with Arduino UNO, Raspberry Pi, and other 5V microcontroller platforms.
Features
- Capacitive non-contact sensing for conductive liquids through non-metallic walls (up to 3mm).
- 5V DC operation with low current draw (<5mA) and digital output signal.
- IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof sealed enclosure for harsh environments.
- DFRobot Gravity interface for easy plug-and-play connection to Arduino and other MCUs.
- Compact form factor suitable for tanks, pipes, beverage machines, and lab equipment.

The sensor operates on a capacitive sensing principle, detecting changes in capacitance caused by the presence of a conductive liquid on the opposite side of a non-metallic barrier. This non-contact method prevents sensor contamination and corrosion, ideal for monitoring water tanks, beverage dispensers, and laboratory setups.
Its fully sealed IP67 housing, achieved through seamless shell design and waterproof glue encapsulation, protects internal electronics from dust, moisture, and oil ingress. The flexible, durable cable ensures reliable connectivity in varied installation environments, supporting an operating temperature range of -5°C to 80°C.
