Honeywell SS49E Ratiometric Hall Effect Sensor TO-92 Flat - ±650G to ±1000G Range
The Honeywell SS49E is a ratiometric, board-mount Hall effect sensor in a flat TO-92 package, designed for precise magnetic field sensing from ±650 G to ±1000 G. It operates from 2.7V to 6.5V DC, making it compatible with 3.3V and 5V microcontroller systems like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and industrial PLCs for current, position, and speed sensing applications.
Features
- Ratiometric linear Hall effect sensor with output proportional to supply voltage.
- Wide magnetic sensing range from ±650 Gauss to ±1000 Gauss.
- Low power consumption with 6 mA typical current draw at 5V.
- Broad operating voltage range from 2.7 Vdc to 6.5 Vdc.
- Stable, low-noise output suitable for precision applications.

The SS49E utilizes a monolithic integrated circuit with a Hall-effect sensing element and thin-film resistors to provide a stable, temperature-compensated output voltage that is ratiometric to both the supply voltage and the applied magnetic flux density. Its linear output responds to both positive and negative Gauss, enabling bidirectional sensing.
Housed in a flat TO-92 package for through-hole PCB mounting, this sensor is engineered for reliability across an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. The miniature construction and low-noise characteristics make it ideal for integration into space-constrained designs requiring accurate magnetic field measurement without external signal conditioning.
