The Mastech MS6900 Digital Moisture Meter operates on a pin-type resistive measurement principle, where the electrical conductivity between its probe pins changes with the moisture content of the material. This signal is processed by the onboard circuitry, which is stabilized by the Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) system to correct for ambient thermal effects, ensuring reliable readings from -10°C to 50°C.
Designed for field durability, the meter features a compact, rugged housing with an IP rating suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor use (10–90% RH non-condensing). Its 0–50mm measurement depth allows for subsurface moisture analysis in materials like wood, drywall, concrete, and soil, providing critical data for quality control, drying verification, and preventative maintenance in industrial and construction environments.
