The transmitter is powered by the included 9V alkaline battery. The receiver module requires a separate 5V to 12V DC power supply connected to its input terminals, which also powers the connected motors. Ensure the polarity is correct to utilize the reverse-voltage protection. The system draws current based on the motor load; the receiver itself has a low quiescent current.

The receiver has two independent motor driver channels. You can parallel these channels to drive a single motor with up to 2.4A continuous current. For controlling solenoids, LEDs, or other inductive/resistive loads, ensure they operate within the module's voltage (5-12V) and current (1.2A continuous per channel) specifications. The channels provide a simple forward/reverse/stop control signal from the transmitter.

The modules come pre-bound with a specific RF channel and address. This provides basic separation from other NRF24L01 devices but does not offer encryption. The kit is designed for plug-and-play use. Binding new pairs typically requires low-level register access to the NRF24L01 IC, which isn't supported out-of-the-box with this pre-configured kit.
