The Teensy 4.1 is a powerful development platform built around the NXP Semiconductors iMXRT1062 ARM Cortex-M7 processor, operating at an impressive 600MHz. This iteration significantly expands on its predecessors, offering four times the flash memory of the Teensy 4.0 and provisions for additional external memory. Designed with a form factor identical to the Teensy 3.6, it delivers enhanced I/O capabilities, including a built-in Ethernet PHY, an SD card socket, and a full USB host port, making it suitable for complex embedded applications requiring high-speed connectivity and data handling.
One of the standout features of the Teensy 4.1 is its support for dynamic clock scaling, allowing the CPU speed to be adjusted on-the-fly without disrupting critical timing functions like serial baud rates or audio sample rates.
