Description
The SparkFun GPS-28929 GNSS Flex pHAT combines the Quectel LG290P high-precision GNSS receiver with a Raspberry Pi-compatible 40-pin Flex pHAT carrier board. This integration supports multi-constellation, quad-band GNSS reception across the L1, L2, L5, and E6 bands, which is essential for achieving centimeter-level RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning with rapid convergence times.
Built-in anti-jamming technology significantly improves the reliability of GNSS signal acquisition and tracking, making this board particularly suitable for deployment in challenging RF environments such as dense urban areas or industrial sites. The board provides versatile connectivity options including UART, PPS (Pulse Per Second), I2C, a Qwiic connector for seamless sensor integration, a microSD slot, and external antenna connectivity through U.FL and SMA options. Designed specifically for demanding applications in robotics, precision surveying, autonomous navigation systems, and advanced positioning tasks, it also offers a modular interface for future upgrades with new GNSS Flex modules.
