Description

The Adafruit 555 PWM Output STEMMA provides a reliable solution for generating adjustable square-wave PWM signals. This fully-assembled board, based on the classic 555 timer IC, is engineered for straightforward integration into various electronic projects requiring precise frequency control. It eliminates the need for complex discrete component setups, making it suitable for both hobbyists and professional developers.

Users can select between two distinct frequency ranges: approximately 1.5 KHz to 25 KHz or 1.5 Hz to 250 Hz, fine-tuned using an onboard trimmer potentiometer. The output is buffered by a 74HC1G04 gate, enabling it to sink or source up to 12.5mA, suitable for driving a range of loads. Powering the board is flexible, accepting 3V to 12VDC, with an internal regulator managing voltage for optimal 555 and buffer operation. Its STEMMA JST PH 2mm connector simplifies connection, promoting quick prototyping and project deployment.
