The Olimex SHIELD-EKG-EMG is an essential add-on for Arduino-compatible platforms, enabling the capture and conversion of Electrocardiography (ECG) and Electromyography (EMG) biopotential signals. This shield converts the subtle analog differential signals, generated by muscle activity and heart function, from its CH1_IN+/CH1_IN- inputs into a single, clean analog output stream.

Designed for seamless integration, the output analog signal from the SHIELD-EKG-EMG requires further discretization, typically performed by the dedicated Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) embedded within the host microcontroller unit (MCU) of the baseboard.
