Description
The LoRa Shield integrates a long-range transceiver onto a standard Arduino shield form factor, enabling developers to incorporate robust, ultra-long-range wireless data transmission into their projects. Leveraging Hope RF’s patented LoRa modulation technique, this shield operates at 915MHz to deliver exceptional communication distances at minimal data rates, coupled with superior interference immunity and reduced current consumption. It serves as an ideal solution for a broad spectrum of professional wireless sensor network applications.
Built around the RFM95W/RFM98W transceiver, the LoRa Shield achieves a sensitivity exceeding -148dBm with cost-effective components. Its combination of high sensitivity and an integrated +20 dBm power amplifier results in an industry-leading link budget, making it perfectly suited for applications demanding extensive range or high reliability. Beyond LoRa, the shield also supports high-performance (G)FSK modes, compatible with standards like WMBus and IEEE802.15.4g, while maintaining excellent phase noise, selectivity, and linearity at significantly lower current draws compared to alternative devices.
