To maintain filament quality, store Sovol PLA in a cool, dry environment, ideally below 25°C and with humidity under 50%. Keeping it in its vacuum-sealed bag with desiccant or in a dry box helps prevent moisture absorption, which can lead to print quality issues like stringing and bubbling.

Stringing or oozing with PLA can often be resolved by optimizing retraction settings and printing temperature. Experiment with increasing retraction distance or speed slightly. Also, try reducing the nozzle temperature in 5-degree increments within the recommended range (190-220°C) until issues subside.

For reliable first-layer adhesion with Sovol PLA, ensure your print bed is level and clean. Applying a thin layer of PVA glue stick or blue painter's tape can also enhance adhesion. Additionally, a heated bed set between 45-60°C significantly improves the bond, preventing warping and ensuring a stable foundation.

While an enclosure is not strictly necessary for printing with Sovol PLA, as it exhibits minimal warping, using one can offer benefits. An enclosure helps maintain a stable ambient temperature, protecting prints from drafts and temperature fluctuations, which can further enhance print quality and consistency, especially for larger models.
