eSUN PLA Luminous Rainbow filament is a specialized modification of standard Polylactic Acid (PLA), offering the renowned ease of use and environmental benefits of PLA with the added appeal of a dynamic glow-in-the-dark feature. Derived from corn grains, PLA is naturally degradable and facilitates large-model printing without requiring an enclosed chamber, exhibiting minimal shrinkage, warping, or cracking, and producing no irritating odors.
This luminous filament’s glow brightness is directly proportional to the intensity and duration of its exposure to a light source, with UV light yielding superior results compared to direct sunlight. Due to the abrasive nature of the luminous powders embedded within the filament, it is highly recommended to use a hardened steel or ruby nozzle, ideally with a 0.6mm or larger diameter, to prevent wear and reduce the risk of clogging. Regularly performing cold pulls can also help maintain nozzle cleanliness and prevent material buildup.
eSUN Luminous PLA is compatible with the majority of FDM 3D printers, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced makers looking to produce visually striking and robust prints. Optimal printing temperatures range from 210-230°C for the extruder and 45-60°C for the print bed, ensuring reliable adhesion and consistent material flow.
