Description
eSUN PETG+ is an advanced thermoplastic filament designed to deliver the best properties of both ABS and PLA, making it an incredibly versatile material for 3D printing. This glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate offers exceptional toughness, impact resistance, and high heat resistance. Unlike PLA, PETG+ provides greater flexibility, ensuring parts are bendable rather than brittle, ideal for demanding functional applications. It produces a beautiful glossy finish, particularly in translucent variants, and exhibits strong layer adhesion for very durable end products.
Printing with eSUN PETG+ is generally straightforward, akin to PLA, though some specific settings optimize results. We recommend an extrusion temperature between 220-260°C, with 245°C often being optimal to minimize stringing and enhance adhesion. A heated bed set to 80-90°C is recommended to improve first-layer adhesion and facilitate easy print removal upon cooling, although printing with a non-heated bed is possible due to its low shrinkage. While minimal odor is produced, printing in a well-ventilated area is always advisable for best practices.
This material’s good hydrophobicity means it doesn’t absorb water easily, simplifying storage and usage in humid conditions. Furthermore, PETG+ integrates a UV absorber, enhancing its resilience against environmental factors. Its low shrinkage characteristics contribute to reliable printing outcomes, reducing the likelihood of warp, making it a preferred choice for larger prints and precise components.
