eSUN PLA+ HS Black filament is specifically engineered to overcome the common trade-offs associated with high-speed 3D printing. While rapid melting and cooling are essential for fast deposition, they can often lead to a decline in material’s physical properties. Through extensive testing of various rapid formulations, eSUN has developed PLA+ HS to maintain excellent mechanical performance, even under aggressive printing speeds, ensuring reliable and robust parts.
This advanced PLA+ variant boasts significantly enhanced toughness and resilience compared to standard PLA, making it suitable for functional prototypes and end-use components that require durability. Its optimized flow characteristics and interlayer adhesion contribute to excellent printability, minimizing common issues like brittleness and layer delamination. The material’s formulation ensures smooth extrusion and consistent diameter, critical for achieving precise and dimensionally accurate prints at higher velocities.
For optimal results, ensure your printer’s hotend can maintain consistent temperatures between 210-230°C. While PLA+ HS exhibits good bed adhesion on various surfaces (e.g., PEI, glass with adhesive), a heated bed around 50-60°C is recommended. Due to its low warp properties, an enclosure is typically not required, making it highly versatile for a wide range of FDM 3D printers.
