The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a bimetallic disc-type thermal protector housed in a metallic shell for precise temperature sensing and rapid heat transfer. When the ambient temperature reaches its calibrated set point of 85°C, the internal bimetallic element snaps, mechanically opening the normally closed contacts to break the circuit and prevent overheating damage.
This switch is designed for direct series connection within the power line of the device it protects. Its robust construction and snap-action mechanism provide high reliability and resistance to contact welding, making it suitable for demanding applications in motors, transformers, and heating elements where automatic thermal cutoff is required.
