This Focusens temperature switch operates as a thermally-actuated, normally closed (NC) single-pole, single-throw (SPST) switch. Under normal operating conditions below its calibrated setpoint, the internal bimetallic disc or snap-action mechanism maintains a closed circuit, allowing current to flow to the protected load. When the ambient temperature surrounding the switch body reaches the precise trip point of 105°C (±3°C tolerance), the mechanism snaps open, breaking the circuit to halt operation and prevent overheating damage.
Designed for direct series connection within a control or power line, the switch requires no external power supply or signal conditioning. Its plastic housing provides safe electrical insulation and resists corrosion, making it suitable for integration into consumer appliances, motor controls, transformer enclosures, and HVAC equipment where reliable, maintenance-free thermal cutoff is required.
