Description

The Makerbase MKS UPS12V module is an essential upgrade for any 3D printer, specifically engineered to manage unexpected power supply interruptions. This intelligent unit precisely detects when the AC power supply is cut, initiating a series of protective actions to safeguard your ongoing 3D prints. Upon detection, it signals the motherboard to pause the printing operation, disengage the hotbed and hotend, and most critically, raise the Z-axis. This crucial step prevents the hot nozzle from damaging or melting into the print, preserving the integrity of your work.

Functioning with stored power, the MKS UPS12V provides enough time for the Z-axis to lift between 20mm to 200mm, ensuring adequate clearance. Once the power supply is restored, the module enables you to seamlessly resume the 3D printing job via your LCD2004 or LCD12864 screen. It’s imperative to note that this module is designed exclusively for DC12V power systems and requires a motherboard utilizing Marlin 2.0 firmware with specific power loss recovery features enabled. It does not currently support most MKS Robin series boards or MKS TFT screens, so verifying compatibility before installation is highly recommended to ensure optimal performance.
