Tarot 4114/320KV Brushless Motor

The Tarot 4114 320KV motor is optimized for high-voltage, high-torque applications. It is best paired with 6S to 12S LiPo battery packs. Using it on lower voltage systems (e.g., 4S) will not allow it to reach its designed torque and power output, while staying within the 12S maximum ensures the motor windings are not over-stressed.

This low-KV, high-torque motor is designed for large-diameter, high-pitch propellers typical in heavy-lift drones. Suitable propellers range from 15x5 to 18x6.5 inches, depending on your specific airframe weight and desired thrust efficiency. Always use a matched pair of carbon fiber or reinforced plastic props and ensure they are securely mounted with the appropriate hub for the 4mm motor shaft.

The motor includes three motor lead wires terminated with bare ends. You will need to solder your preferred connectors (such as 4mm bullet connectors) to match your Electronic Speed Controller (ESC). Ensure your ESC is rated for the high current this motor can draw under load, typically requiring a 40A-60A ESC per motor for most heavy-lift applications.

The motor features standard mounting holes. You will need to check the specific bolt pattern, which is common for motors of this size (e.g., 25mm x 25mm or 30mm x 30mm). Use high-strength M3 or M4 bolts, along with lock washers or nylon-insert locknuts, to securely fasten the motor to your frame's motor mounts, ensuring it is perfectly aligned to prevent vibration.
