For optimal results with Pro-Range ASA filament, we recommend an extrusion temperature between 240°C and 260°C. The print bed should be heated to 90°C to 110°C to ensure excellent adhesion and minimize warping. Adjusting these settings slightly based on your specific printer and ambient conditions may yield further improvements.

While not strictly mandatory for all prints, an enclosed printer is highly recommended for ASA filament. It helps maintain a stable ambient temperature, reducing thermal contraction and preventing warping or cracking, especially on larger models. This controlled environment significantly improves print success rates and part quality.

ASA filament offers superior weatherability compared to ABS, primarily due to its enhanced UV resistance. While both materials provide good mechanical properties, ASA resists degradation, yellowing, and brittleness when exposed to sunlight and outdoor elements for extended periods, making it ideal for outdoor-specific functional parts.

To ensure robust bed adhesion for ASA, a heated bed set between 90°C to 110°C is crucial. We highly recommend using an adhesive, such as an ABS slurry, Kapton tape, or a specialized adhesive spray, on a glass or PEI build plate. Proper bed leveling and a slow first layer speed will further optimize adhesion.
