Description
The eSUN PA12-CF filament is an advanced composite material, developed from PA12 nylon and reinforced with 15% carbon fiber. This significant addition dramatically enhances the material’s strength, rigidity, and toughness, positioning it as a viable substitute for metal in many demanding applications. It delivers a robust solution for engineers and makers seeking superior performance over standard thermoplastics.
This material exhibits remarkably low water absorption, ensuring that the dimensional accuracy of printed parts remains largely unaffected by environmental humidity and temperature fluctuations. It boasts high toughness, exceptional impact resistance, and impressive fatigue resistance with an elongation at break of up to 165%. Furthermore, its self-lubricating and wear-resistant characteristics make it highly suitable for printing mechanical gears and other moving parts. The filament also offers high temperature resistance, with a thermal deformation temperature of 100℃ and continuous use possible at 120℃, with short-term resistance up to 160℃.
Designed for excellent printability, eSUN PA12-CF features low shrinkage, which significantly reduces the likelihood of warping and cracking during the printing process. This leads to more reliable and consistent results, especially for larger or geometrically complex models. The resulting printed parts feature a refined matte surface finish, combining aesthetic appeal with the material’s formidable engineering properties, making it an ideal choice for durable, high-performance components.
