eSUN PLA+ represents a significant advancement over conventional PLA filaments, engineered to deliver superior mechanical properties and printability. Manufactured entirely from corn grain, this bio-degradable material is suitable for printing larger objects, virtually eliminating common issues like stringing and brittleness often associated with standard PLA. Its formulation results in prints with dramatically reduced risk of cracking, a smoother surface finish, and significantly improved hardness—up to ten times that of regular PLA.
This filament boasts excellent compatibility across a wide spectrum of open-source desktop and industrial FDM 3D printers, thanks to its lower melting point and minimal shrinkage. eSUN maintains stringent quality control, ensuring exceptional diameter consistency within a ±0.05mm tolerance, which is critical for achieving uniform extrusion rates and outstanding surface quality in printed parts. Technically, PLA+ features an Elongation At Break of 29% compared to 5% for regular PLA, drastically improving toughness and flexibility, thereby eradicating wire-drawing problems.
